The stay at Whitecap Mountains Resort had its ups and downs. The location was pretty incredible, with nearby hiking trails making it easy to explore the outdoors. However, the $25 surprise surcharge for amenities was frustrating. I expected straightforward pricing, and that fee should be included in the room rate. The coffee setup in the room could use some work. Those little packets were a hassle. hard to open and messy. A bigger issue was the mattress. It lacked support, making it hard to get a decent night's sleep. I woke up feeling sore and slept poorly, only getting about three hours of rest. The dead flies in the sheets were off-putting as well. For the price point, I expected better cleanliness and comfort. Really nice area, but the room quality could definitely use improvement.
